For well over a decade, Encore Strings has had the privilege of providing beautiful music for thousands of Sydney’s most discerning couples. Music sets the tone of your wedding so choosing the right music is essential. We understand that planning a wedding can be very stressful and we work with you in the lead up to your special day happily contacting you by phone or email as little or as often as you want, to ensure your musical expectations are taken care of.
We can play before, during and after the ceremony this can be during guest arrival, entrance of the bride, signing of the register and exit of the couple. Depending on the type of ceremony you choose, we can also play during other formalities such as candle lighting and offertory. We can play during drinks receptions and during meals.
If you wish, we can assist you in selecting the perfect pieces of music for your special day, you can view our extensive repertoire on our repertoire page. If there is a song that isn’t in our repertoire we can arrange this especially for your special day.
The Civil Ceremony
PRELUDE
About 10-15 minutes of music to be played as your guests arrive.
Choose a mood – elegant, or relaxed? Classy, or fun? Refined, or upbeat?
We can select the pieces based on the atmosphere you’d like to create – or you can pick the pieces from our extensive repertoire.
PROCESSIONAL & ENTRANCE OF THE BRIDE
Select a piece for the Bridal Party, then, if needed, select another for the Bride.
SIGNING OF THE REGISTRY
Select two pieces – these can be joyful and upbeat, or reflective, to suit the atmosphere of your ceremony.
RECESSIONAL
Select one piece – this could be your favourite song.

CANDLE LIGHTING CEREMONY
This ceremony is short, so select an excerpt from a piece.

Select one piece for the offertory, and two pieces for communion.
